Final Approach of the Final Voyage of the Space Shuttle Enterprise
I thought I missed it, and if I had stayed outside and not gone upstairs thinking I missed my opportunity, I would have had even closer shots because it flew right past my building over the ocean... But... I GOT IT! This is the the Space Shuttle Enterprise on it's final approach into JFK Airport over Rockaway Beach, New York.
They were shot handheld with my 70-300mm lens fully extended so there is some minor blurriness. I just feel great that I was able to witness this bit of history.

When I first read your title I thought it said Star Ship Enterprise, so I was expecting to see one of your great created shots,
You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.
That is great it is wonderful to be abble to one shot of the space shuttles. But to get a photo of the last one is so fantastic . Actully there are no words I am sure you were so excited. I know I would be. Great pictures and I will check out Flicker . Were is it going to be housed out for you to go see. Probably not near me. lol .

I'm extremely envious... but from Down Under, I can't complain! Definitely a case a right person, right, place, right time. Kudos to the EXTREME!!! These are simply AWESOME! I don't have any other words to express my feelings
