You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

That's a Boletus, Ernesto. They include Porcini among their ranks. Break off a bit from the cap. If it doesn't turn blue, it is safe to eat, although not guaranteed to be delicious. Great capture.

Good one Darrell, I made the the mistake of reading this after I took a drink of 7up. It ended badly...

Great images Ernesto, I'm out in the woods here in the Coast Range in Oregon quite a lot, only one species looks familiar(#5). This series makes me want to head into the woods and gather some chantrelle mushrooms, we do it for fun and extra cash around here, two years ago I gathered enough in two days to sell for $600 and had a great time doing it!

It is what it is.

Yes, that no5 seems to be an oyster mushroom. You mean that you don't eat any chanterelles yourself????I just missed them in Seattle, had to return home...

No problem eating them John, lol. I just couldn't eat nearly 300 pounds of them, :) . I brought home 10 pounds of the finest ones which were quickly devoured, lol! The funny thing is I was just out for a drive one morning and stumbled on a serious patch of 'shrooms and I just couldn't leave them there, so I carefully harvested them and sold them.

It is what it is.
