these are pics i took this summer of the ferris wheel at the county fair...I am a beginner and I apologize for not having them framed the greatest, I was sitting with my back to a fence with no tripod so they are a little shakey..I think they turned out pretty neat though..

Whoa! These are amazing! I wouldn't worry about the shakiness with these - it adds to the effect in this case!

Very, very cool -- and pretty impressive for being handheld!

That's great for handheld! FWIW, even if you had brought a tripod they may not have allowed it. I took a tripod to the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz in August only to be told that they weren't allowed. Thankfully I'd already taken the pictures I wanted :-).

this is the first year for it....they refitted it with led lights and they told me the operator can do anything he wants with it pattern wise...the funny thing is though...it only looks really cool in pics with long shutter speeds.....in life it looks like a spinning wheel with twinkley lights...

I know I wished I had one....it was just a casual day at the fair...I took my camera to get pics of my friends son...I was just playing around with my manual settings on my camera taking pics of it while waiting for my friends son to run through the fun houses....next year I may :)
