Photos of a photo of an idea...experimenting with some darker subjects.

Hi All,
Playing with some conceptual ideas and got inspired by thinking about images in layers and visual representation of an image's subtext.

It's taken me into some darker territory but it has all emerged out of play! Curious what you guys think of these shots and some critiques as I explore this concept:

Thank you!  I'll keep up the experimentation - creativity comes in bursts - sometimes good things come, sometimes not so much! I've been trying to be okay with failure or even pursuing ideas that may not work as a way to stay constantly open to learning and figuring out ways to authentically express through photography.

This is very unique in nature. I like you how you did it with this concept. The render into B&W is good.

This is a creative experimentation. I love the samples you have here. We can work with the DR though.

Thanks Jack!  Do you find that the high-contrast or DR is too "truncated" in the blacks? It's so easy to get seduced into removing information in the shadows to make things pop! It also emerged as a limitation from the printer - these are printouts from a laserjet and shadow details seem to get lost in that process but there's certainly some leeway to change the DR of the images! Thanks for having a look!
