Farmer's Market: testing a Sigma 85mm f/1.4 ART

Out this morning to run some errands, which included a stop at the farmer's market. Great opportunity to test a lens.

Most of these were shot at f/1.4. Very pleased with the amount (lack) of CA (the bottles, #4 below).

I like this lens.

I really love the colors in the shot. That dog though is a standout.

When I got up this morning and looked at them again, I realized they're not warm enough. I've made some tweaks to them already.

The dogs were more interested in everything going on around them than me, so it was hard to get good shots. The one above was a lucky moment.

One of my goals for this test was AF performance: could I aim and fire quickly with correct focus when wide open. The Sigma did not disappoint.

Today I will go out and try the Nikon f/1.4G... I'll probably use two cameras to do it.
