Playing with my cat

This is Star. She's our littlest cat and the demon...

( I wanted to draw attention to her eyes)

f/6.3, 1/100, ISO 2000 50mm macro- natural light. My worry is noise- too much?

NOt sure the noise is the isue but the DOF is so shallow it's hard to make out and texture on the fur on my screen. I always find it difficult to shoot black{or dark coloured) cats. The eye detail is lovely on the first though

I like both but the 1st one is my favourite as it has more texture in it, well done.

I also like the first one best. She has beautiful eyes I can see why you want to make them the center of attention.

I am having DOF issues. I can't seem to get a good DOF when I get close up.

Try another lens beside the macro, the dof of macros are very shallow. What kind of light is that for you to be shooting at iso 2000,1/[email protected] it meant to be iso 200?For extreme close up you need a smaller f-stop.
