Everything looks spot on for the look you're going for...except for the lettering. It looks too bold and new...like you just put it on there. Fade that as well, unless this is what you're going for?

I always liked the old editing styles...blending in textures. I enjoy this shot a lot.

lovely image I do agree with Scotty on the writing, just needs fading a little to match in.

I will digress and agree with both Scotty and David. The writing needs roughed up a little bit.

Shadow, you gotta admit, this is art. :)

I had already faded it to 70%. I will try fading the text a little more.

See if this works better.

The second lettering is better.

I will pick further and say the original image is too sharp. I would soften it to match the style and the softness of the antiqued effect. On the right track though.

Many older photos were taken using slow films and large cameras. They were incredibly sharp.

I went to the "Museum of Photographic Arts" in Balboa Park in San Diego last week and many of the images were from the early 1900's and I was amazed at how sharp most of them were. It was only when you went back to odd processes like salt prints and such, did you see a softness in the images. I think the sharpness in this image is appropriate from the images I observed there.

It's all good. Opinions are always welcome on my images. I may not agree with the suggestions, but I appreciate the opinions.

For most people, I wouldn't have bothered to make that comment, but I know you hold your work to a high standard and you can handle it. :)
