I would find it amazing too imagine to have roots on an other continent and I can trace these roots back in history. Sounds really interesting to me.I suppose you meant the town called Hameln, didn´t you? Well, Hameln is about 80 miles away to the west from the city where I live, called Braunschweig. This city is about 30 miles away to the former east-german border.
I know Voigtländer very well, as the Voigtländer-Company was located in Braunschweig!
My father used to work there before they closed in the beginning of the 1970´s. You see, Voigtländer is a traditionell name and the cameras were famous for the quality.Well Sharon, I am glad you like my photos, so there will be more soon

I think it is just incredible imagine the way your Voigtlander-camera has gone Yes it is a shame that you´ve lost contact to your cousin. Especially in these times when it is so simple to stay in contact via email, skype and so on!
