Hmmmm, so you drove through here and you didn't even stop to say "Hi" ?:( lol, just messin with ya my friend, I know you were fleeing the state before the snow hit. I'm not looking forward to that white "stuff", got another word for it but I won't say it here..... I've got an idea, once you decide what you're thinking feel free to do that or at least give me some direction & when I get a few minutes I'll mess with it. O.K?
I've got to git to bed now, Goodnight! :)

Will do.
We left NS at 3:30 AM and rushed to Newport NH so my wife could spend $ on a new wool cutter. It was about 11+ hours drive in the rain with 2 dogs and a cat. I did wave :P to you - and to crystal as were drive down 81 in central PA (she didn't see me either).

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Two quick stabs and off the sleep.

At first I liked the top one better because the river drew the eye into the scene but then the second one did that a bit but also had more interesting "stuff" in the foreground.
What do you think>

Thanks John, I like the second crop better than the first- I like the "interesting stuff" in the foreground too. :)

Your trip doesn't sound very enjoyable but I'm glad you made it to your destination safely!

Glad you liked the crop. Sometimes it takes a little playing around and saving several versions, then putting them aside and looking at them later :P
Thanks. The trip was OK but could have been better but I'll take safe to "exciting".
Did I hear there may be snow headed your way this weekend? Charge those batteries.

Safe is a whole lot better than Exciting when you're traveling That distance John. Yeah, you heard right, I can't believe it..... This morning they said 3-6 inches starting Saturday night into late morning Sunday. Tonight they said 8-12 +. I hate winter but it looks like I'm gonna be stuck here again....:(

Thanks a bunch parabolviews.com !

Just remember to change your settings for the snow :)
Maybe you'll get a warn up after and it won't stick around too long (this time).

Thank you John, shooting against snow is Sooo difficult-I end up deleting 3/4 of the shots I take. Hopefully it will be easier this winter, I've learned quite alot this past year so hopefully that will help. I hope our warm up comes in December and last straight through to Spring..... ;)

Not much chance on the last part. :( but Barry MacBeth posted this link in another thread that talks about using exposure compensation when shooting in snow.
www.photosbypdemott.com/tag/better-snow-pictures/

It mentions setting to +1.5 but I have also heard +1.0 mentioned. That will give you something to read while you sip cocoa and watch the flakes fall (the snow flakes, not the ones at the university :beerbang: ).
