Great Shots... don't get this opportunity, pretty much ever...Only get the beach and ocean... which ain't half bad either, but would love the chance to take some shots like these... I sense a ROAD TRIP in my future... don't know if it will be the near future... but the future none the less... especially being it can't be the Past

Thanks very much Joie. I think that I am finally making some progress. I just have to learn more about the Nikon D5100. Thankfully it's Winter, which will give me more time to learn. My husband hasn't taken even 1 photo with it and I bought it for him.
I miss the ocean and would welcome the chance to get photos of something like Galveston or Padre Island. I plan on going to see the Beartooth Highway this Summer and also back to Natural Bridge Falls around July or August so I can see the Falls in action. I love road trips but I can' t drive for as long as I used to be able to.

Thanks so much! I still have a long way to go. Slowly but surely I'm learning thanks to people on this forum and others. I love your Avatar, we have 2 mini Schnauzers. Sadie is 1 1/2 and her daughter is 7 1/2 months old. I just love their personalities. Sadie loves to talk but she is very spoiled too.
