This is another stairway in the Hospital I work in. Just took downward looking shots of these return stairs working their way down.

Feel free to comment and let me know if you like one from here or my other posting: Stairway to Nowhere

Wow, that is a lot of yellow. Was it recently painted? I think it may look good as B&W.

I recognise the point of view here, used many times and is classic in the movies. It would work better for me with more flights of stairs and maybe lighting like your other post, which would be a real challenge for exposure. What would it be like lying on the ground floor looking up? Just a thought.

Did a few looking up shots, but the focus was way off... I didn't check ahead of time and found out later that the lens was set for manual focus. Will have to try them again... They are not horrible, just way too soft.

I actually like the first one, I think using a horizontal subject in a vertical shot makes it interesting. Wonder if it would work better to have the rectangular shape in the center, more in the bottom third of the image, maybe lose the bottom railing. I'd maybe also try focusing on the bottom yellow rectangle?? because where the concrete is worn that looks like more of a distraction that might look better if it isn't so much a focus point.

In the other series the light coming thru the stairs is interesting but I think there are distractions in those scenes. Of course you'd be limited in where you could set up there I imagine.

As close as I could get with the shots I took that night... will try again another time, but I don't know how the skylight will affect the shot. We shall see...
