That first one really shot out at me. Love the richness in the color.

Nice shots John, love the colour in No.1, Neptune? No.3 good for me.

Difficult conditions methinks in museums, mixed light sources and hard to "isolate" subjects without some distractions/other exhibits.

Regards
Ned

Thanks for commenting, Ned. You know how it is in Museums. But the Met has superb facilities, and most exhibits are very accessible and very well displayed. No3 is by Giambologna,as far as I know the only one of his sculptures in the US. And he did do Neptune- I posted a shot of the statue in the "One Night to see Bologna" thread. BTW these three threads were all shot witn the G11, which I like moe and more.:)

I haven't commented but have been following your series of photos from the Metropolitan. I'm enjoying it! Fun to get to see the museum's collection and interesting to see it from your point of view.

The last big exhibit in my area that I went to was a Rembrandt exhibit; it was mostly drawings of his, with paintings by Dutch masters - they were just stunning in person. No cameras allowed though (I bought the exhibition catalog).

Thanks for commenting, Sharon. I always look forward to reading your comments on the Threads. Ithink that Rembrandt exhibit was at the Met, too. In those, cameras are never allowed, which doesn't prevent the usual Yahoos from sneaking out their P&S and flashing away at the glass-encased art works. The Met is one of my favorite destinations to lift the spirits:)
