I would really like to see more of your photos. I'm really on the fence which one I like better. Both are amazing, the fog really works well with both.

Wow, those are really really pretty. I like them both for different reasons. The first one is almost black and white. The only real color I see is in the sky and that's pretty cool. I like that kind of haunting foggy affect. The second one is a lot more colorful and has a lot more of the "big picture" of the setting. That building on the right looks old and I'm super curious where you took the pictures! Despite the fact that there's more color, it's still pretty haunting and I dig that.

1) You can edit your posts at any time after the fact, including the addition of photos that you forgot to initially include.

2) After you attach an image, an "insert" button shows up that lets you insert the photo into the post, rather than leave it as an attachment. I wish inserting an image file was a one step process distinct from adding an attachment, but it's not.

3) Welcome.

4) The images seem a bit underexposed, and soft. I think the shallow depth of field of the pier shot works OK, but these usually have more of the subject in focus. The second shot is just overall soft. There's a lot going on in it, and it's not clear what the subject is. I like the time of day this was taken, and (in both) the fog is awesome.

Soft or not, I like the unique tones a lot. #1 needs to be leveled. For #2 I would crop off most of the left side.

Number 1... I would like the camera elevated just a bit so all the pier 'supports' (or whatever they are) are 'separated' from the far background. The one near the middle that blends into the far shore bothers me ...confuses my 'understanding' of the photo. Small niggle ...perhaps only important to me.

Number 1... Love the sky tones and the rising (I assume) almost-pinpoint sun. The large amorphous . . .whatever it is at at pic left-center ...and the strange pole/flag sticking up from it confuse me. Just garbles the image for me; everything right of it looks great. Again, perhaps only important to me.

...tom...

thanks for the input. the flag is supported by several pier posts bound together. these images are from different days but the same location. i appreciate your insight. i will definitely pay closer attention to the pier posts though.

The first one looked a tad saturated, but very nice all the same. Both made very interesting subjects to view.
