I love them...that is what you would see with the eye as well...but I'm very curious to hear other people's opinions.

Also cutious about opinions around the lens flare,,,

I think natural lensflare is ok and it fits here. I always admire when people can shoot into the sun and have it turn out good. In this case I think it's really cool how it filters through the trees like that.

Don't care for this at all. The flare completely overwhelms the image, making everything else irrelevant, and therefore uninteresting.

I agree it's a very difficult shot to get right. I don't try these very often because this is usually all you can get out of it.











I took a look at Frank Wuestefeld's gallery and there's some really nice work there.

I think it's great. Take away the sun the way it is and that's just another meaningless photo of tree's. The photo is about the light!

Its nice, id like to see one shot where you stepped to the right blocking the sun, stopping down maybe 1-2 stops to up the contrast and just let the rays come through without including the sun, or perhaps put it on a third so youd have a stronger composition. I dont really like shooting these types of shops but editorials like to use them and often bump them up in post to really bring out the effect
