Reflections

9 years 6 months ago #408386 by JeremyS
I haven't done many reflection photos but when I saw these pools of water I had to give it a go. It is my first shot that was to include reflections.

Let me know on what could be improved or how it would have been better to shape the exposure.

For General Info it was just south of Portland, Maine at a nearby lighthouse.

Great first one!

I would go for less foreground (crop some at the bottom) to accentuate the reflection.

:agree:  And I would crop quite a bit off the left side to bring some balance to the sky.

The exposure does look dark on my monitor.

The rocks are slightly underexposed. Do you mean just the rocks or the sky included?

Thanks for all the tips, I'll try a more obvious reflection next time with getting as close as possible to the puddle.

Rocks and sky both.  Though that is with my calibration ON.  When set to its defaults my monitor shows the exposure as just a little dark.

An eye for an eye, LSD and antidepressants. Everything in balance. Buddhists call it karma and Christians call it the golden rule, Jews call it— I don't know. Rabbi Hillel said something poignant. Universe always settles the score.
Does it?
No, but it should.
