In My opinion the Purpose of the Photo is well thought, but you should Made the Shoot with more focal distance, you have the Background Blurred and over saturated.

Well, Next time Do it Better ;)

No Hard Felling

Danny

An eye for an eye, LSD and antidepressants. Everything in balance. Buddhists call it karma and Christians call it the golden rule, Jews call it— I don't know. Rabbi Hillel said something poignant. Universe always settles the score.
Does it?
No, but it should.

Danny,
That is your opinion.
No hard feelings, I'd do it the same way again.

Thanks,
Bob

Hey Bob,

Love the silhouette here.  Lady liberty is a work of art.  If you are posting here for critique, so that you can grow as a photographer, then here is my 2 cents:  the background though it has lovely colors is a tad over saturated.

Considering you shot this from a moving cruise ship is awesome!

Victoria,
I have no problem with critique, and I always appreciate what people have to say. At my age, I don't know how much growing there will be, except maybe side to side. Some of my shots are oversaturated and have extra contrast. I have found over the years that this sometimes helps hold the punch on a large canvas print which is my favorite type of sale. The shot above last sold a few months ago on a 2'x3' canvas. You'll notice a bunch of my shots are bold, in your face, that's what I like to do. I always listen to critics, especially my wife, then I make a decision on whether to implement the improvements. Thanks, Bob
