I would like to buy a polarizer, does brand matter?

To me it does I buy B+W, Hpya and, Nikon filters. And I buy the upper series of the first two. The reason being is they are multi-coated to kill reflections between the glass surfaces.

I had a Cokin polarizer at one time and it was horrible. It cast a funny shade over everything.... You could tell something didnt look right on my photos.

B+W and Hoya (upper end) only for me. I bought cheap polarizing filters and learned my lesson.
