Okay so i bought a sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens a while ago and it has been working perfect on my camera up until now, i pulled it out of the case and attached it to my camera when i noticed it would not auto focus and u could hear it trying and then secondly the zoom ring between 70-200 would not rotate anymore and it had seized up, i desperately need to know whats wrong and what i can do!

You may have to take it to a shop to get fixed.

Try to pull it off and install it again. Might just need to be reseated. I have had that happen a few times. Try it on another body if you have the chance. Make sure power is off during the swap.

Take it off of the camera and see if the rings free up.

Ouch... it sounds bad. Have you checked, cleaned and reset the connections? Can you check this with a different camera? What happens if you turn off the autofocus? I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is something that can be easily corrected.

That happened to my Sigma 70-300 too. I have a Sony and they are known for stripping some Sigma lenses. I still use mine in manual even though it grinds a little. Those lens aren't to expensive so you might just want to get a used one.
