Looking for Stud/Adapter for this mini spotlight

6 years 4 months ago #552931 by shade89
Hello, I have a Minispot 7800 ( See here ) and I need some kind of adapter to mount to an umbrella bracket, but I'm not exactly sure what I need. The website says the light will mount onto any 3/8" stud and it looks like it's about 1 inch deep and threaded on the inside. The stud in the picture below is what fits into the umbrella holder. Can anyone help me find what exactly what I need?

Here you can see the stand adapters that came with a kit for the light, but I contacted the vendor and they said it was discontinued:

That yoke type light mount does not appear to be intended for use with an umbrella in the first place.  My guess is that when an umbrella is needed a studio would simply park a second stand, just for the umbrella, next to the stand for the light.  If you are keen on attaching an umbrella, you could try to kludge something together out of clamps.  Such as seen on this page -
