I was shopping the other day and saw these beautiful sunflowers and finally got some inspiration! I also added some Gerbera's for more color. CC welcome! Shooting details available upon request- too many to go through

I like the way the all black background sets off the color of the flowers. The second one shows a bit too much stem maybe, otherwise I like it. Love the closeup of the yellow sunflower before the B&W, that one was an 'oh wow'.

   Thanks everyone. I really loved taking these and just relaxed and enjoyed photographing them. Now I am enjoying the beauty they add to my home. I hope to follow through when they start to fade. For some reason I am drawn to the blooms of any flower as it begins to deteriorate.

Hope you post the "faded" shots.
BTW, Caravaggio liked flowers and fruit that had "lived"

That is a high compliment. As of right now the blooms are still vibrant and un-molested by my cats.

Very nice! I love sunflowers and gerbera daisies. Against the black background, the colors are rich and vibrant.. I liked how you explored all aspects of the flower in this series.
