The colors in #2 are exquisite. Not too sure about the crop/composition, but I really enjoy the subject and the idea.

The idea of #3 is great, assuming that the intent was to focus on that one leaf in the middle against the rest of the tree. The problem is that it doesn't stand out. Using a flash in this case to put light only on it would have made the shot more successful (in my mind); if the photo is in RAW you can try lightening the leaf in PP to bring it out.

I absolutely love the first one. What type of lens are you using?
The second one i love the color and i love how you off set it but maybe you off set it just a little too much
If number three is what gary said that maybe you were trying to make the tree in focus to stand out i would make the tree leaves a little more saturated with color or lighten up the tree and maybe add some stuff around it and blur those out so we know you want the tree to stand out

Great job! and Great Colors! can't wait to see more of your work! :judge: :judge:

ButterFlyGirl & Gary : Thank you for your comments, you are right about the 3rd one and I realized that the tree and the leaves need a bit more exposure and saturation....I will tune it...

I used Tokina 11-16 wide angle for the 1st shot...as for the 2nd shot, I mainly concentrated on the colors as the purple foreground really stood up against the green background, but I see what you mean...

Thanks for the comments...the location isnt going anywhere....and surely fall is going to last few more weeks...so will keep working on it, unless rain becomes the spoilsport! :)

Nos. 1 & 2 are very nice. Especially the color & composition of #2.

Rain (light rain), or just after it has rained, can actually help. Puts a shine on the leaves & helps with color saturation. Plus those occasional raindrops are an added bonus. ;)

For example, see this series I shot last weekend ...in light rain:

 Yeah, you're right. I've been to Seattle three times and it did rain all three times, all the time.
