Critique on a couple of Autumnal shots

Here are a couple of shots I took today while walking the dogs.  Both were with my Canon 600D with the 50mm 1.8 prime lens and I'm quite pleased with them.  I would love some feedback and/or critique from fellow photographers though :)

Love both of them Kate! The only nit I have is that the bridge scene does not look level to me. Then again it may be an optical illusion due to the angle of the trees and the width of the water on the bottom right. Or, my head is sitting on my shoulders crooked. Probably more the latter! :)

#1 is really good.  I would crop a little off the ends, especially the right end.  It would be nice to tame the sky (and its reflection) a little, but that may mean a big effort in post.

I agree with Kelly. Right side crop would help especially on the second.

Personally, I like the framing and the balance on #1 and wouldn't crop it.  In case you didn't see it, it was featured on the PT Facebook page today and the response was very good.

I do think #2 would benefit from a crop. Very nice shots.

Thank you all for your comments and taking time to critique these shots.  I also wasn't sure about the angle on the first but I double checked and it is due to the angle of the water etc.

Thank you so much for the share on Facebook as well, its the first time I've had one of my shots shared like this so I'm smiling this morning :)

WOW if I had to pick one, I'd say the first one.  Both of these are very beautiful.

I really like that first one! I wouldn't crop it though, gives you a place to go after the bridge is crossed.
