The Quick & The Slow

After an hour of photographing snails after a rain storm the need arises
to try something different!
We have 6 or 7 geckos living in or around our house, my choice was the one in our shower room who was a baby and matched the size of the snail we were photographing and was also very tolerant and friendly - ok lets go!

Snail shot into the sun:

Another who was a bit cross eyed!

and then Voila!
i created the shot i had in my mind!

That shot of the gecko riding the snails back is awesome!  These are really well taken shots, nice lighting and composition.  You mind me asking what lens did you use?  I see you are shooting Nikon, I'm guessing a 105mm here?

Yep it´s the Nikon 105mm on the full frame D810, but i recommend the Nikon 200mm which will give you more reach generally and a longer distance from these little guys who can be camera shy or skittish :-)
