learned of a beautiful and magical transformation that happens every
year for approximately a week. During our subzero temperatures of -18*F
the process of "Ice Gorging" or "Anchor Ice" begins to form. This event
requires a very sudden cold snap to create this effect. Ice is formed
from the bottom up in the stream forcing the water to flow over the top.
