I've also got loan of my daughters Nikon D5500 which is just a complete nightmare for me because I have no idea what to do with it.
And I've got an old Panasonic Lumix bridging camera that I've used for years and am very comfortable with it - it takes good photos but its getting a bit worn out - again, I use it on auto.
So I guess I do know why I'm here - I want to slowly learn to understand the settings and how to get the best for a photo. I also want to take specific types of shots - including, at the moment, a perspective shot of a small radio to match an advert I have for it. I've taken a few shots, and the best of them was when it was on full auto - but it looks very square and doesn't have any noticeable taper towards any kind of vanishing point - I'm wondering if its possible on something so small.
Anyway, I'll go have a read around the place and see what I can find
