Nikon D4 silent shutter technology in other Nikon DSLR's?

Do you think other Nikon DSLR's will have this sort of technology in them?

I would imagine manufacturers would be able to do more quiet shutters with mirrorless cameras. I have rangefinders that have a really quiet shutter compared to SLR's, where the sound is more from the mirror flipping up and slapping back down.

I don't know if I'd like a totally silent shutter, I think I'd be wondering if it released! But it could be useful in some settings I'd think.

I wonder how silent it will be? My D7000 has a "quiet" shutter mode, but its far from silent.....:)

Why so serious?

According to some research I did:

According to Thom Hogan:
"At the moment, we don't know enough about the "silent JPEGs" to say anything much more than "you can do it, they're 2mp (HD TV format), and it is indeed silent." That's 2mp more than any other pro camera can do silently ;~)."

So apparently:
Quiet shooting mode = similar to D3s, D7000 when shooting stills (RAW or JPG); mirror stays up until shutter button is released

Silent shooting mode = grabs 2 MP JPGs from LV while capturing video

In addition (but related) according to Rob Galbraith:
"The D4 keeps the mirror locked up while shooting still pictures in Live View and the camera is set to Tripod mode. This is, to our knowledge, the first Nikon digital SLR to behave this way, and it was long overdue. Now, while in Live View and you press the shutter release to take a photo or burst of photos, the only sound you hear is the shutter actuation. Plus, at the end of the burst there isn't a pause as the mirror locks up again, since it's already up."
