Which Nikon DSLR's have built in GPS?

I've heard the D600 has GPS built in, are there any others?

None of the Nikons do to my knowledge, not even the D600. If anything they would have put it in the D800, and D4 first if they were going to have it. With Nikon you either get their GPS unit that mounts on the hot shoe, or the data cable that interfaces your GPS unit with the camera. Since I have not interest in GPS on cam I never even look at any of the toys for it.

You're getting the D600 confused with the Canon 6D (which has GPS and Wifi but crappy AF).

The D600 has better AF but no GPS and Wifi.

If its important to you, get the GPS-1 unit that mounts on the hotshot. I have, it works well. It's not something you'll use constantly, but it's in your bag when you need it. Great for traveling.

The other point is that they are very thirsty which is why many camera manufacturers don't include them as standard equipment.

Would be a nice to have, but then Nikon would be tossing business out the window. Unless they charge more for the cameras with it installed. Which I'm sure they would.

:agree:
Exactly! Your camera would be constantly updating itself as to where it was, or trying to. That takes a lot of juice, my Etrex if left on runs down fairly fast. That is why I only turn it on when I want to note a point of interest.
