Well I picked this up as well as a new Manfrotto tripod and ball head. This lens is absolutely AMAZING! I can't get past how sharp this thing is wide open and how it renders the OOF area. This thing is a cream machine when it comes to bokeh!!!!!!!!!These are just some quick test shots.

Did you get a chance to compare this to the Sigma 85mm 1.4? I have the Nikon 85mm 1.8D and wondering if the upgrade to the G or Sigma is worth the investment.

Barry, its the 190L with the 496RC2 head. I like it because the center rod will come out and go 90*.
Jason, I didn't compare the siggy or the D lens. From all the reading online, the sigma doesn't do bokeh as well as the nikons do and the G lens is supposed to be slightly sharper than the D. I have heard that the D focuses slightly faster than the G, but that the G is a little more acurate. Also, the Sigma seems to have a back focusing issue. This may be okif you can fine tune focusing but iI'm using a D200 and dont have that luxury lol.
