How much is my very used Nikon D70 DSLR camera worth?

This camera was a hand me down.  I'm looking to get something newer and will be posting this camera up for sale.  

Any idea what it's worth?  

There are some scuff marks on it.  I don't know how many photos have been taken with it.  Speaking of which, is there a way to find out?

There is. Google it. To find its value. look for it on ebay, and look for closed auctions. It will give you some idea of what to ask for it.

You can BUY one in excellent condition for seventy five bucks. Save it, someday have it converted for IR.....;)

Yeah... no. It has little resale value, especially if it's been "well loved".

Take a shot and use one of the online sites to read the exif data to get the shutter count. Photoshop can also read that data, although finding it is the hard part....

I did Google it, figured I would get a closer to user price point from asking on a forum.  So asked here.  Thank you for the help.  Not worth what I thought it might, but oh well.  It's old and it's had a good life.  :)

As noted, it isn't worth much due to it's low pixel count. That said, I still have my old D70s. I could get it converted for IR, but I just use it for IR with a Hoya R72 IR pass filter. It still auto focuses & the CCD sensor is better with IR light. Add to the fact that it has a 1/500th sync speed, it isn't leaving my stable for what little they bring in.
