I don't suppose any of you know how the size of the D750 compares to the D800?  Is the body of the D750 smaller than the D800 body?

Yeah, a little smaller. My son owns the D750 and I actually like its size more than my slightly larger and heavier D800. However, I do NOT like the button layout. I think Nikon perfected that on the D300/D700, then the D800 series. I have my D7100 set up as close as I can get it and still need to go menu for a few of the functions. That being said, I'd own a D750 in less than a heart beat....

I don't see how they don't keep things uniform.  Just like the new 70-200mm Nikon just released, the focus ring is different location.

They do keep uniformity, as all D750s are the same size and weight. :P ...They are different models, different generations, quite different sell prices and they don't all do the same things....I like what the makers deliver myself.

:agree:
Yep just different models. Not all of the entry level were the same size either from year to year, and models in some years. I think my D50 was near too small, and the D80 was much better in that respect.
