Cheetah Light CL-V860X for Nikon

I didn't want to hijack someone elses thread here.  I just saw these flashes mentioned in another post.  Never heard of these flashes.  Anyone know how good they are?

Actually how they might compare to SB800's?

You will likely get more responses if you post this in a separate thread...

Not familiar with them but they look to be a fairly new product, thus may not be many online reviews on them yet. I did check out the manufacturers website & there were several good reviews (of course). Only time will tell.

Good company.  I originally bought their 43" Octobox then picked up one of the V860x that you asking about.  The controls are a bit different IMO.  Chews through batteries slightly quicker, but amazing flash IMO.

I would recommend.

Never heard of this one.  Prices look good, really good.  Can speak from experience.

Any of the mentioned will be much newer then the venerable SB800. What would be important to me is the if the camera and speedlight communicate without add ons. That was a great flash but is really getting on in time....

Why so serious?

Hey that's a new one.  Much better priced than some of the other options.  If it works good, heck you can get 2 of those for the price of 1 Nikon speedlight!

Friend of mine just picked up one of these flashes from this company.  I can't forget the name.  She was telling me about it, and trying to sound sexy when saying the company brand "Cheetah".  My friend is a bit silly at times.  I will say, she loves the flash.
