Nikon D750 Vs. D800 Vs. D810

5 years 3 months ago #624044 by W Cage
I'm ready to upgrade my Nikon D700 and looking at either a new Nikon D750 or used D800 or D810.  We all know the specs to these cameras, so I won't post the redundant there.

What I would like to know, is which path you personally would take here.  Buy new D750 or buy a used D800 or D810?

For the kind of work I do and for wildlife I wold go for the
D810 (or D800E)… superb machine!

If you're into portrait, street etc but don't need to crop too
much then go for the D750.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Rented a D810 for ten days to help me decide. Didn't need files that large, and no other features were compelling. Went with the D750, and have never regretted it.

There are features in the D850 that I want/need, and will move to that at some point. But I've never met a D750 shooter that was dissatisfied. Of course, same for the D850.

I use the D850 but only for wildlife, as well as the D800E.
When I don't need the resolution, I use the D3X or D3S.

I don't quite understand why you won't buy used D750 as well, I always buy goods on ebay. I had a good experience with used things. But of course I read a lot of information about them before buying. I have almost new D750  https://cameravs.com/Nikon-D750 it's excellent, who wants to look at its characteristics can read it viewing the link above.
