What do do with old Nikon D90?

4 months 3 weeks ago #758961 by Chase Watermith
I have a Nikon D90 and a few lenses I haven't touched in nearly 15 years, and the camera is like new condition, but it's old'ish.  What is this camera worth or what can I do with this kit?

Thank you

Not much I'm afraid,  You can always check your local Craigslist to see what others are selling for.  Alternatively you can donate the camera to a school.

Check Ebay for what they've been sold for. You can either sell it or put a fresh battery in  and use it. I would imagine that, with a decent lens, it ought to perform quite well.

+1 use it or just donate it to a school.  Call your local school and ask them where, they would have closer idea.

Schools will be happy to receive this camera.  Our local high school took a couple old film cameras from me last year.  They worked just fine and granted while being old, they surprising still teach kids about film.

Your Nikon D90, despite its age, is still valued around $150 on the used market as of early 2024. If you're considering selling it, eBay might be a good place to start. Remember, its value can also depend on the condition of the camera and the specific lenses you have. Alternatively, keeping it as a backup camera or using it as a tool to explore different photography styles might be worth considering too

eBay fees are outrageous though.  You are better off selling on Craigslist.
