Anyone know about the Nikon D1x? Seems like a pretty cool camera but I have always liked Nikons.

I've been looking at the D1x for a couple of weeks now, I like what I see and may just pick one up to play with. I like the compatibility it offers with my old flashes and lenses etc. Seems like a great stepping stone camera body for newer photographers like me.

It is what it is.

A friend of mine was given a D1x the other day. The dude who gave it to him couldn't sell it and didn't want it.

So I can't use my lenses on it? Why not? I thought all cameras were the same, just different names.

My friend has a fuji camera that takes nikon lenses.

LOL because Camera makers what you to use their lenses only. ;) Fuji and Nikon use to make cameras for the Nikon mount you see. Canon has NEVER made lenses for a Nikon mount (as far as I know) and visa versa. :)
