Panasonic GH4 Camera locks when taking photo with shutter speed above 400

Hi, I just purchased a used Panasonic GH4 camera. It is my first camera, so I do not know much about cameras still, and I am not sure if the problem comes from the previous user, from the firmware, or from some other source. I have a problem that when I take a photo with shutter speed at 400 or higher, it will lock up, a freeze the screen all black with just the red recording dot shown blinking. This does not occur with the shutter speed below 400, nor does it not occur when taking a film even with the shutter speed above 400. The problem occurs with or without an SD card inside, with or without a lens on the camera. I have Body Firmware Ver. 2.5. Thank you for any help or suggestions.

That's the latest FW version. Aside from taking the issue to Panasonic, you could try loading one of the prior firmware levels to see if the problem goes away. A quick google found  www.panasonic.com/global/consumer/lumix/gh4_firmware.html
