Mic level limiter

Hello!

I've got an audio question about my FZ300 FZ330.

It's possible to turn on or off what is called the level limiter. (in the movie settings)

Question 1 : Is this level limiter the AGC (automatic gain control) I read so much about on the web ? I know that not every camera allows you to turn the AGC off, if I'm right it is not possible on the FZ200 for instance.

Question 2 : How comes it's still possible to adjust the Mic Level when the level limiter is on ? I read on this website https://www.braybaroque.ie/photo/fz300/sound.html that it's not possible, but my experience proves it wrong, and there is a difference in audio quality between a - 12dB gain and a +6 dB gain recording even when the level limiter is on.

Thanks!
