Nice shots! The second is my favorite for sure! Lovely lines, and nice pose.
Starting with the first photograph. Shooting a woman wearing all black is very difficult. It's hard to keep the contrast and keep the lines. I think the contrast is a bit high her beautiful curves are lost in the dress.
Her hair is cropped off my the frame in this photo
I would have liked just a bit more light in her eyes for the second image and perhaps some dodge and burn or high pass filter to bring out the high lights in her hair. Love the ripples in the floor and the shadows. Great pose, might have opened her hands to show long fingers and nails
Bottom photo is cropped a bit tight for me. You can always shoot wide and crop later but much harder to add to cropped photo later. Lighting is excellent and pose is nice. I absolutely love calves on the female body and think this is a wonderful display. Hyper extension of elbow, though mild, bothers me just a tad. I think head up and back or further down with eyes looking up would be far more seductive. I'm getting sexy lady tired of studying for midterms with this pose. All around nice job and I'm sure there are many other excellent photos from your shoot. Thanks for sharing and hope this helps.
ohh...lastly I touch of light behind her and on the background to help separate her from the background would be awesome.

Thanks Naken!!

thats just the kind of feedback I want to get. tells me like it is and helps me get better. Ive only been doing studio for just over 18 months so this is still a learning curve for me. I have to say thought that the last one was cropped by me so it fit within the guidlines for sizes on FB. The original one is not cropped so close. The comment about the left arm is spot on and its something some other friends of mine commented on- but this in my defence was one where I said to Joanna, do what you want to now that you've done my shots for me.

I'd dearly love to shoot more in a studio but unfortunately dont have access to one like I would like. To shoot in the uni studio is a pain in the butt cos they are only open during the day on wseekdays when people are working and two of the studios are used as classrooms too so we have 300 students from several different degrees all fighting for time in there. I would love to just shoot in a nice space somewhere and experiment with light. I have some ideas I want to do which I tested the water with last year when I did a shoot called twisted fairytale.

thanks again!
