Well I absolutely love the second one. Not sure if its me, but the focus looks a little soft. :judge:

I prefer these, baby looks more content. I personally think the 2nd one is best- I guess for me the whole point of newborn shots is to document the becoming of woman to mother and new life. I wish I had had newborn shoots done with my kids so I could be with them.

Thank you, it's not you. My I was shooting at f 3.5 I believe so when focused on the baby's eyes, Mommy blurred a bit :)

I totally understand. In this case, Mom is a masseuse and didn't want to be in the pictures because her "hands are rough"" I had to talk her into it, telling her it's what I regret about my daughters newborn pictures. I'm so glad I was able to talk her into it! She loves them now. There are a few of her and him that are precious. I agree, capturing that bond is crucial. Thank you so much for your input!

lol, I was talking about the baby...It probably is just my work monitors thats making it look soft, or my jacked up left eye. Great job again

Great pics, I love doing baby shots..

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.
