Very nice. Was wondering what they would be like in color, these tell a story. Nice exposure and composition. What lens and iso rating was you using? Do you have many fashion shows like this in New York?

thanks guys , ok so the lens i used is a Canon 70-200 mm f/2.8 with ISO 400... Glad you enjoy them...

Why are they all shot in landscape? Also seems your shutter speed was a tad low. Why stick to 400iso?

Agreed.  A lot are OOF.
When the last candle has been blown out
and the last glass of champagne has been drunk
All that you are left with are the memories and the images-David Cooke.

You might like to take a quick look at this Vogue page , then come back to this page and ask yourself what you would have to do with your photography to get to Vogue standard. You have the lens already so you are fully equipped to get the same result.

The Vogue images are all portrait mode. The model fills the frame. Flash is used, blended with ambient light, in all shots. This eliminates the motion blur you have in your images. The Vogue images are in color.

All famous artists started out by copying other artists work. I believe this is an excellent approach for us photographers too.

I think what William is pointing out is a fashion spread.  This series of wide shots, all in B&W, has more of the feel of a photojournalism report.  Which may have been the intention all along, we can only guess.  Of course this PJ approach already has a niche in wedding photography.  I just don't see the PJ style as ever threatening mainstream photography.

After reading the comments and looking at the photos, i felt i had to comment.  Adry..the important people regarding your work is you and your client. I don't recall you asking for critique (or maybe i missed that bit) but if you like them and your client likes them then who's bothered in what other people think? Ive seen 'Vogue' style photos and they appear to me all the same style, ok different models, different clothing. You photos are different and a different style. 

Just my 2 cents worth

If you post photos on a photography forum, expect feedback.

some of your photos are a little blown out and watch getting peoples heads in the shot. Definitely try them in portrait next time dont just stick to portrait.  overall you did good
