yeh i don't like the vignetting. Looks fake... as you said though, if the customer wants it. LOL
I think (can't tell past the watermark) the eyes seem to be lacking crispness. Their seems to have some motion blur too.
Perhaps you needed some off camera flash or something to boost the light (and subsequently the shutter speed). Weird since it seems you were using a... I'll say 50mm at 1.8 (ha! I bet I'm right, I just checked your profile and it says you own one...
). Should be pretty fast......maybe you moved a bit? Ahh I also see you own the 5DmarkII.... yeh, not the best focusing camera in the world (I use to own one). Kid moved too fast for it's focusing speed I guess.
Now onto the processing. Contrast on this is a bit too low IMHO. It's a black and white, contrast is your friend.
Personally I like skin tones in black and white to be more on the white side than the gray side, but that's personal perhaps.
Now, positive.
The smile is really cute and those little teeth are great.
