Great choice of a topic John, lots of really interesting photos. Robbie, I particularly like the ones w/water that looks like glass - stunning. Barry, what a sunset. I don't think offhand I have much scanned in to fit this category but will see what the weekend brings.

These don't really have interesting perspective. A bit more than the SBB pic, maybe. That was a long lens, with NO vanishing point.

But, I haven't shown them anywhere in a long time. And they kind of begged me to post them here. Back in my Leica and Ektachrome days (guessing the actual year):

And a couple from L.A. around the same time (I think):

Thank you, robbie.

Was in my Eric Meola, Ernst Haas days. I liked Ektachrome, Kodachrome and Velvia (50 ISO) films, exposed for deep colors.

Exposure isn't a right or wrong. It's a tool we use.

The Leitz lenses also got a chance to sing here. The color and contrast they have is just amazing.

The two in L.A. is color print film (scanned negs). They don't have the "zing" that slides have. My Ps skills back then were rather basic as well.

Many of us were in the transitional period then, from film to digital. Lots of hybrid photographers, who shot film, and scanned for digital editing. Ps was the king of everything in post. We were getting our feet wet, preparing for the digital boom.

They look so primitive now. But I guess that's a part of their appeal.
