Great job Charles. Thanks for sharing your "Experiments" with us. This is something I've been wanting to experiment with too. Also Smoke and Flamage shots (separately of course)! SN may be right about them being "cliche" but they also seem like the would be fun to do as well as add to experience and knowledge base for other types of photos as well as getting the creative juices running for other options and or tweaks. Again great job Charles and thanks again for sharing!

I learned a lot from this playtime. It might have been stuff I should have already known - and now I do. Thanks Don.

Hi Chasrich, I love drop shooting as well but I seldom do it because of the mess...lolz... It's nice of you to share your experiments. I'm not sure how you feed in the drops, but have you tried the liquid in a plastic bag hanged on top of the plate? then prick it with a needle around 2 or three times. so here it will give continues drops, so you can shoot in continuous mode, so from there you can choose the best drop shot. Good thing about this set-up is that the drop will fall on at least the same spot and you can capture and freeze single drop actions.... I dont know if my English is coming through effectively...lolz.

Here are one of my attempts a while back. But as stealthninja said, it's kinda something you see everywhere now so puts you off doing it. Although I would recommend those who have yet to try it to give it a go, its fun to set up and makes good practice :)

Hope its OK to use link from flickr:)
