Crystal,

I'd have to search for it. But, I thought I remembered you saying you had a studio at some point (on another thread). My apologies if I was mistaken. I don't claim infallibility or to always be 100% correct. I only claim to know photography well. And I can claim to be a really good teacher -- both in person and online.

I'm really sorry you didn't succeed as a pro. You would be a much nicer person if you had, and not feel a need to attack others, when it's uncalled for.

I'd rather defend myself (and my school) with kindness. You and John both are making that hard for me. You publicly tell others there is no value in my training. That hurts me both personally and financially, and it's wrong.

Hope you BOTH soon find someone else to focus your anger on. I never wanted to hurt either of you. In fact I really try to play well with others. I learned that in Kindergarten.

Matthew :)

Wow, you truly do amaze me Matthew. Where do you get off saying you are sorry I didn't succeed as a pro???

I admit I am not a pro, I never once said I plan to be a pro or I failed at being a professional photographer. However, my work is good and I have done portraits, wedding and events all getting paid and I've sold my nature work. So my photos are not in the pro status like Peter Lik, and my yearly income is not pro status (as I don't ever plan to be there) because I would rather shoot for me, for fun, then shoot for work and start to hate it because I HAVE to, not because I WANT to shoot.

Sha Nea,

It was a tongue in cheek posting... of a cigarette butt! It shows that ANYTHING can be photographed and still be interesting. You only need some skills.

I have nothing to prove to anyone here. They simply must've missed the pics I posted on other threads, so I played along simply or their amusement. I shoot EVERYTHING, so it's not an example of my own "style". I use whatever style the subject requires. Photography is both an art and a craft. Once you have the skills of a pro (and have trained your eyes to SEE like a pro), you can apply them to anything, anywhere, any time. Art can be taught and also can be learned. There's a method to it.

Scotty, too late for that! The party is ON! ;)

Crystal, if you are happy and have achieved your goals with your camera, then why are you so pissed off at a teacher? I've dedicated much of my life to helping others achieve their dreams and I certainly didn't join here to attack you. Why do both you and John feel a need to attack me?

I'm really lost as to why you both would do that? Did I hurt either of you in a past life?

Matthew
