What do you say to get a group of people to smile?

What I'm fishing for is how many will say "SAY CHEESE!"

I will usually say something super silly, but lately I have been having fun with having people "SAY CHEESE!" It's so corny and cliche that saying it alone will get everyone laughing.

What are you having them say or doing to smile?

This is a pg-13 forum so I can't say.

It really depends on the group that I'm shooting. I agree with Scotty, can't say what I will say with a younger group of adults. But will I will say often "big smiles everyone" and keep repeating or crack joke at someone to get everyone laughing.

I'm not very funny so I need to resort to slap stick.

Falling down just as I take a photo makes people smile... Sure the picture is blurry and I've broken a few lenses. But it always gets a laugh.

Honestly, I don't bother I just say "Look here! 1 2 3 *snap*" done. If people want to smile then it's up to them.

You know, sometimes (with the right people) saying "Whatever you do, DON'T SMILE!" often works.

Not so much for me where Chinese people will just look at me confused and I get the  look... but it will probably work for you.

I'm pretty boring and just ask for big smiles from everyone "sooner you all smile, the sooner we are done" :nunu:

I'll just tell everyone to Smile. I mean, come on, when you are getting your picture taken, you know you should be smiling anyways. :)
