When not in use, where are you storing your photography gear?

I would like to keep my gear somewhere other than my dusty book shelf. I'm curious where you keep your equipment when it's not being used?

My D3s is in a tarmac expedition bag on the fire place brick.

D700 is in a dome bag, with 2 lenses in my trunk.

If it isn't spread out on my dining room table, which we don't use to eat at, then I have an area where the big gear is under a staircase closet.

Always in my bag, when not in use but if I get one more piece of gear I'll be out of room.
