Strange request from clients?

I'd be curious to know what is the strangest thing you have been asked by a client?

I just got asked my a client today if I would take the photos with film. Not really strange, but first time I have been asked that. They wouldn't say why. Hmmm time to break out the film camera!

What is the strangest thing you've been asked?

I had a family portrait where the 2 sons weren't smiling. The father who was a joker told them to picture me in a bikini. I'm not bad on the eyes, so that statement could have gone either direction. The 2 boys did start to smile, and we got the portrait out of the way.

Way back when I used to shoot people I had one ask if I would attend a swingers party and photograph it for them. I declined because it isnt my type of subject to shoot, I have shot nudes but I do have a line that I wont cross.

I did a photoshoot for 3 families it was about 80 miles away, I had just arrived home and their was a message asking me if I would return as they had thought of a few more poses they would like to try, naturally I declined as it was a 160mile round trip , what were they thinking. :toocrazy: :toocrazy: :toocrazy:

Have camera will travel... If they offered you a dollar a mile would you do it? (Convert to unreasonable but profitable amount in £)...

Shooting with film isn't really too strange...or actually it could be, now because very few shoot with film. What if you didn't have a film camera?

OMG. I might have not decline completely, but told them to set up a another time, as you just got home and have other plans. And that 2nd photo shoot I would have charge them.

Yeah, I think that might have been a odd one to photograph. I would have made the same decision.

They were on a tight budget from the start, it took a lot of negotiating to get them to pay my expenses as it was, so I doubt they were wanting to pay more, more like they thought I would nip down take a few more and add them to the first lot, dont forget I know them from booking them, also I was pretty knackered as well.
Oh the final order was just shy of £500 not bad for a 3 family shoot, towards the lower end of expectation though.
