It really does depend on your original photo. You'll see in this case, the original background is not very complex and provides a nice contrast to the hair and subject. Had this background been more complex, or had this photo been taken in a hay field on a dreary day with bad lighting, we'd probably have a lot more work to do to get these kind of results. That being said, you can still be creative and incorporate backgrounds in many ways. With this one, we used Topaz Labs plug-in for Photoshop called ReMask, made a quick adjustment in some areas and were good to go...nothing really too complicated. Also, many Photobacks backgrounds are designed to have a realistic feel, so in many cases you have to make little adjustment to the background once it's in.
