What do you do when your model shows up VERY late?

I had a photo shoot yesterday a 2:00pm and the hired model didn't show up till 3:50pm. Do models ever show up on time? I have had the worst luck with models showing up on time. Yesterday I have to say is the longest wait. I wanted to tell her to hit the road, but at that point I just wanted to take the photos, finish the job and call it a day.

Get a beer while you are waiting and never hire them again.

Wow, that is extremely unprofessional. I am part of a meet up group that hires models and they are on time or early 99% of the time. If they are late, they don't get any repeat business from our group or it's members.

I guess I'm different. I wouldn't have said a word until shoot was over, at which point I'd have set another date, told her vocally with no witnesses I would double her fee next time...then I'd have stood her up. Yes, I hate waiting for people that can't read a clock.....

Why so serious?

I had a talk with this model and made it clear this wasn't to happen again if she wants the future business.

Don't take this advice. She's a model.

I would have left myself. Then let her wonder where you are. I figure I do not want to work with her at all if she is that flaky.
