Closest ive come to this is when Hasselbald gave me $50K worth of gear to play with for a couple of shoots , and yes IMHO it was worth every penny

I bet you hated giving that gear back!

Canon 5D Mark II | Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM | Canon 35L | Sigma 85 1.4 | Helios 44M-6 58mm(M42) | Zeiss 50mm 1.4 (C/Y) | Canon 135L | (2) 430EX II

I was going to say, if this was one order, you have some deep pockets!

If I had the money, I doubt I'd spend it on that stuff. With cameras I think it reach's a point of diminishing returns, well with everything. Is a $50k camera really going to do what your 24 pix DSLR won't? maybe but you could not convince me of it.

As for the printer, I wouldn't get one of them either. I have a 13x19 printer that prints about 99% of what I do. I can put it in my enclosed van trailer and take it anywhere with me and print 13x19 print's on the spot! I will be looking at a different one though. This is a Canon 9000 MKII and a great printer but won't do pano's over 19". Thinking of a Epson next spring, prints 13x44.

I suppose that a case could be made for a pro video camera, don't know as I don't do video's at all anymore. If all the extra money that stuff cose over gear costing a quarter of the price were added up you could take some super photo safari's. My brother, his son and his son's wife spent three weeks in Africa on a photo safari. Not counting airfare it was about $40k. That included lodging, meals and all transportation in country and their personal guide for three weeks. Divide that by three and it's a bit over $13k. I think the figure up above was $750k? Divide that by 13k and you could have 56+ three week fully guided trips to Africa. Makes a fall less expensive DSLR really appeal to me!

EDIT: My mistake, it was only $725k. That drops the trips to Africa to just under 56! huge difference!
