Very interesting. I don't know enough about it yet to comment. However, it is marketed as a "pocket camera" which is true if you never change the standard lens. Also I found this announcement which makes the camera much more inviting.

Blackmagic makes some really good video cameras, these guys make full blown cinema cameras that are used in Hollywood.  What are you looking to use this for?

Yeh... it's a good base for a camera system. Cheap, but needs a lot of stuff to get it to work well as a cinema device.

Don't expect to just pick one up and shoot great movies.
